Arriving in a strange, new country is perhaps one of the most intimidating experiences one can undergo. Obtaining the proper documentation, finding employment and housing are all ways in which NCFJE has met the needs of new immigrants.
In the late 70's, NCFJE was instrumental in helping thousands of Jewish refugees flee the newly established Islamic government of Iran. In the early 90's as the Iron Curtain fell, NCFJE helped new immigrants to build new and fruitful lives in the U.S.
Newcomers to this country are at a very vulnerable stage in their lives. NCFJE strives to help new immigrants arrive and integrate into society in a safe, legal and fulfilling way.
